No Field Hockey Knowledge Required:
Advertising - coordinate getting newsletter articles in the local schools, roadside signs, township websites. We have a number of things already in place for this (like people to submit the newsletters at most of the districts) we just need someone to coordinate the whole effort. This job needs to start now and is over at the end of June.
Field Lining – each week, the game fields must be lined once or twice.
Picture Day - coordinate picture day.
Spiritwear - work with the Spiritwear rep coordinating and distributing orders. Please e-mail
Some Field Hockey Knowledge Preferred:
League Treasurer and Secretary – these are board level positions and will be heavily involved in the direction of the Fast Flicks League. There is an opportunity for someone to serve a year as an assistant treasurer before taking on the whole role. Both positions are primarily administrative in nature.
Field Scheduling – coordinate practice field requests and maintain a master practice field schedule.
Senior Division coordinator – coordinate the 7/8 grade division by recruiting coaches (most are returning from last year), forming teams, scheduling play and providing ongoing communication between the league and this age group. This is a mostly administrative job.
Equipment - evaluate needs, check inventory, order and distribute/collect
Field Hockey Knowledge Needed:
Coaches – we always need coaches who know the game of field hockey – even if you are “rusty”! All coaches will be required to fill out a criminal background check.
Referees – grades 8 through adult. We will provide some training prior to the start of the games. This is a great opportunity for references for jobs, college applications, etc. Referees get paid!
Clinics - coordinate clinics with area high schools and colleges.
High School liaison - we really need to recruit high school volunteers who know the game. This person would contact area schools and act as a point person in this effort.
